Many late adds continue to be administered through this week and most are for seniors needing credit, or the transaction being made due to the inclement weather hold backs at the school. The VLCs have heavily emphasized the imperativeness for DLAs to build a strong rapport with the teachers in these cases (and all others), and have suggested the DLAs request a daily progress report from the students over the next 2-3 weeks to oversee the students getting caught up in their course work.
We cannot elaborate enough on the importance of this coaching need from DLAs. Otherwise, these students are going to be stressed even more as the course material becomes more rigorous as the semester progresses.
