iSchool and participating Community Colleges are still registering for spring semester. Only science, technology, and math courses qualify for LEO funding.

LEO Textbooks belong to the school not the student. LEO college textbooks are very expensive and purchased with state money. Textbooks for LEO courses should be treated just as another textbook in the high school and can be used by students in other semesters.

Last day to drop a LEO course is quickly arriving. Check with the Community College providing your LEO courses for their drop date.

Reminder: LEO courses are free. Textbooks, tuition, and other fees are funded by Learn and Earn Online. Changes were made to courses qualifying for LEO (science, technology, & math) but funding was not impacted for the 2010-2011 academic year.
iSchool registration opens on October 18 for students whose classes were cancelled this fall. iSchool will be in touch with you. A math placement test will be required for iSchool math courses. All LEO courses must be science, technology, or math.

Community Colleges classes are in their 2nd week. Before allowing students to register for new LEO courses please be aware how many classes/weeks they will have missed.
We know with certainty these course prefixes are eligible for LEO funding: AST, BIO, CHM, CIS, GEL, IMS, MAT, PHS, PHY, and SCI. A Community College offering any other course as a LEO course should be willing to assure you in an email or other document that your school/system will not be invoiced for tuition, fees, or textbooks.
Some Community College courses now eligible for LEO will NOT transfer to a 4-year college. Be aware before allowing a student to register.
iSchool spring course offerings will be available later in this semester.
Early and Middle College students are not limited to science, technology, and math LEO courses.
