Grade Reports [E-lert for Jan. 28, 2011]
The following grade reports were posted in the registration system on Monday, January 24th:
Final grades for Fall 2010 block courses. Early calendar grades for Fall 2010 will be reposted in this grade report.
Midterm grades for Yearlong 2010-2011 courses.
Credit Recovery final grades for Fall 2010.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to inclement weather, many students and DLAs asked for additional time for students to complete their courses. If an arrangement was made with the instructor for an extension, the grades were left blank, and a "null" would show up in the grade report. We will update the grade report later this week and next week again. Teachers will also send grades via password-protected spreadsheets to the DLAs.

Week 6 Progress Reports & Early Calendar Mid-term [e-lert for Oct. 6]
Progress Reports were posted Wednesday, October 6 on the Traditional Schedule, and mid-term reporting for the Early Calendar schedule. Progress reports are posted in each school's NCVPS Registration System account, REPORTS tab.
NCVPS teachers are making efforts to contact students weekly to discuss their progress. DLAs and facilitators, please strive to do the same to assist keeping students on task. Communciate with the teachers especially concerning students at risk of failling. DLCs, please promote support plans with the goal for each NCVPS student to be followed up with each week (as some are able to do so daily).
Summer Semester Grades [e-lert for Oct. 7]
If your school had students enrolled in NCVPS courses the summer semester, be sure the grades get recorded on the student's transcript. This process needs to be done during this semester since schools do not open a summer semester in eSIS.
Middle Schools - if you enrolled students in NCVPS summer courses and the student has moved to high school, please coordinate getting the grade(s) forwarded to the student's assigned high school.

Format of Progress & Grade Reports [E-lert for March 11]
There is currently a constraint on the design and appearance of progress and grade reports. We regret these reports cannot yet be condensed, whereas, showing the most pertinent data fields pertaining to grade and progress marks. The most recent spring 2010 progress report posted on March 8 shows grade marks recorded in column AU with comments in column AV. The report can be saved in your Excel files allowing you to redesign the report making it more suitable for your reporting needs. Thank you for your tolerance using this reporting method for the time being.

Late Adds & Drops [E-lert for Feb. 17]

The VLCs would like to thank DLAs for their patience and understanding in communicating late adds and late drops. We realize the inclement weather brought about intense challenges. At this point, we hope your requests have been fulfilled. Any discrepancies noted, contact your VLC. However, any drops past Monday, February 15, must be medical or transfer related circumstances only.
Be reminded, NCVPS grades are reported to the schools, and only the schools record the grades on the student's transcript. If a student remains on your roster in error, send an email to the assigned teacher, communicating the error in that the student should not have been enrolled, and the teacher will make a journal entry in the comments section of the grade report acknowledging this request from the school. A grade of 59 will have to be reported in the end, but the school does not have to report the grade on the student's records if it was a legitimate enrollment error that was not the student's fault. Your principal must be involved in this process, as he or she is the final grade authority.
